FTST (Buenos Aires) provided an interesting format that made the transition from "small talk" to "deep and meaningful" conversations very easy.
I attended this event in Lausanne, Switzerland last Sunday with an open heart and absolutely no expectations. I simply wanted to connect and enjoy being around other human beings.
This event was something original and unique at Lausanne. Already looking forward for the next one and to reconnect with the people at the event.
If you feel open and curious about fellow humans - go along. So worth it.
I loved F*ck the Small Talk, I was a little bit nervous at first but they are pros at making you feel comfortable with the rest of the group, the activities are really fun and I enjoyed every second. Give it a try!
Lively, interesting, introspective, completely open and no judgment. Everyone that joined was ready for great conversation and helped with different perspectives. So much fun!
It's a wonderful experience, it's like being a kid again, when you were at the park, playing with other kids, and just decided you were going to be best friends for the next hours.

“F*ck the small talk changes the narrative from "Where are you from?" to "When was the last time you laughed uncontrollably?" and I think that's beautiful.”

Burning Questions 🔥
-
We have 4 types of question levels!
Medium Talk, Soul Talk, WTF Talk, Big Bang Talk.
We won’t reveal all of them but here are a few examples:What makes you weird?
How would your closest friend describe you?
If we interviewed your exes, what would they say about you?
If you could change one aspect of human nature, what would it be?
Would knowing the future enhance or hinder personal growth and decision-making?
-
We keep events intentionally small and cozy - usually around 25-30 people. This is what makes it one of the best ways to meet new people without feeling overwhelmed. It's not a party, it's a guided experience.
-
Not at all. Fuck the Small Talk is the anti-networking event. There's no pitch, no agenda, no swapping business cards. It's a guided conversation experience designed purely for human connection and making real friends.
-
Absolutely - most people come alone. That's kind of the whole point. Fuck the Small Talk is designed for solo attendees who want to meet new people. You'll feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. Pinky promise.
-
Yes! Fuck the Small Talk is specifically designed to be introvert-friendly.
The whole event is guided and facilitated, so there are no awkward moments of "who do I talk to now." You always know what's coming next. Many of our regulars are introverts who say this is the most comfortable social event they've ever been to.
-
Just show up - that's it. You don't need to come with friends or know anyone.
When you arrive, our trained host welcomes you and guides the whole experience. You'll be paired with different people throughout the evening and taken through conversation rounds using fun, thought-provoking questions.
By the end, you'll have had real conversations with a room full of people you didn't know three hours ago. -
Timeleft is a dinner with strangers at a restaurant, matched by an algorithm. Fuck the Small Talk is a fully facilitated, guided conversation experience led by a trained host. The biggest differences: at FTST you're guided through conversation rounds with carefully designed questions — it's not just "sit at a table and hope it flows."
The format is structured so even introverts feel comfortable, and you rotate between different people throughout the evening. Think of Timeleft as a social dinner and FTST as a social experience. Both are great ways to meet new people, but the depth of conversation and facilitation at FTST is what people come back for. -
Most Meetup events are unstructured — you show up and hope for the best. Fuck the Small Talk is fully facilitated by a trained (and awesome) host, with a clear structure from start to finish: welcome, warm-up, guided conversation rounds, and a closing. You never have to awkwardly approach anyone or wonder what to do next. That's what makes it one of the best social experiences for adults who want to make friends without the usual awkwardness.

Samantha (yes, Stefano’s sister!) designs experiences that help people understand themselves better and connect more meaningfully with others.
At F*ck the Small Talk, she’s been a driving force behind the training and development of hosts, helping shape the structure, depth, and intention behind each event.
She specializes in turning big, complex ideas about human behavior into practical tools that people can actually use in conversations, relationships, and group spaces. She is also the founder of The Self Academy, where she develops programs focused on self-awareness, relational intelligence, and conscious leadership.

Stefano is a creative experience designer on a mission to make human connection less awkward and a lot more fun. He’s the founder of F*ck the Small Talk, a global event series where strangers skip the usual “what do you do?” and dive into conversations that actually matter. Think laughter, curiosity, and the occasional existential question.
He spends his time designing playful experiences, experimenting with new ways of bringing people together, and proving that meeting new people doesn’t have to be boring. Oh, and he's obsessed with llamas.
