FTST is a one-of-a-kind social experience where strangers come together for an afternoon of meaningful, fun, and deep conversation. It’s also just a different
& cool way of meeting new people by getting a bit out of your
comfort zone and skipping the small talk! 🎈

It all started in Berlin in 2019 out of my frustration of going to unfulfilling and boring Meetups. I (hey, it’s Stefano!) cringed every time someone asked me “where are you from?”. To this day, I still don’t have the short answer.

Since then, I’ve met some incredible humans who have brought the event to cities beyond our initial reach. Together we’ve hosted over 2000+ people in 12 different cities from Melbourne to Vienna, London, Lisbon, Mexico City, Madrid, Medellin, Vancouver, and even Reykjavik! 🌍

Most importantly, we’re on a mission to bring humans together in the most creative ways possible. We’re fighting the loneliness epidemic, inspiring curiosity, and empowering others to become more intentional gatherers. After years of testing, experimenting, and hosting, we are ready to bring this to even more people around the world.

Who we’re looking for 😎

  • Previous experience with groups (facilitation, hosting, public speaking, event organization, facilitation, and/or similar jams)

  • Commitment to host at least 1 event per month or 9 events per year (can be more if demand is high)

  • Clear and positive communication
    (comfortable speaking in public)

  • Great time management, self-motivated, and organized

  • Ability to create an inclusive environment

    Other qualities we value 👀

  • Interested in experience design

Burning Questions 🔥

  • The cost for this second cohort is 350$, instead of the $500 we’ll charge for our next training. You can choose to pay in two seperate payments.

    This includes the license fee of 120$ per year, the training (three 2-hour sessions), and all of the points mentioned on the first page.

    This training can be useful in many other ways! After you host your first event we work on a commission basis.

    A full detailed page on this will be sent to you once you’ve filled in the application and before we have the call. 📞

  • EPIC LLAMA is the umbrella company and F*ck the Small Talk is one of our signature experiences. We have other events such as Playground for Adults, Onion Hour, Notworking Meets Networking, and Get Shit Done.

    We also do experience design consulting, and host (epic) team-building events and workshops for organizations of all sizes! We’ve worked with companies such as Amazon, Klarna, Malwarebytes, foodspring, Google Cloud and SAP.

  • We’re currently looking for hosts in cities that have:

    1) An active Meetup scene (e.g; most cities in North America)
    2) An active digital nomad community (cities like Buenos Aires, Malta, Mexico City)
    3) If you don’t want to host public events then it does not matter which city you are in! You can still join the training and use the format as you wish (religious or community groups).

    We have active chapters in Medellin, London, Lisbon and Vancouver.


    📝 For example, Vancouver is not known as a digital nomad hub yet Meetup is extremely popular. It’s been our most popular city.

    If your city is not on the list don’t worry. You can still apply to become a host!

    Cities that we’re particularly interested in: Buenos Aires, Valencia, Malaga, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Paris, Manchester, Mexico City, Toronto, Montreal, Malta, Bankso… 🌍

  • We got you! We’ve designed a proven strategy that makes most events sell out. We’re also just damn good at what we do. We can’t guarantee the events in your city will sell out but pretty confident about it. 😎

    You’ll never feel like you’re doing this solo.
