F*ck the Small Talk has traveled the world from Berlin, Melbourne, London, Lisbon, to Mexico City, and is now coming to Malta for it’s first season! 😎

📦 WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?

FTST is a one-of-a-kind social experience where strangers come together for an afternoon of meaningful, fun, and deep conversation. It’s also just a different & cool way of meeting new people by getting a bit out of your comfort zone and skipping the small talk!

Join us for an evening of games, talks, and connections with friends you haven’t met yet. Join if you get annoyed after being asked what you do, where you are from, and how long you have been in Malta every single time you meet someone. If you feel that there are better questions in life, then this is the place for you. 🙌

📓 HOW DOES IT WORK?

We start with a short & sweet intro talk followed by a few light-hearted group games to warm up. Don't worry, nothing too awkward! After that, we split you up into small groups and start with the conversation rounds (with 3-4 people). We'll have awesome question cards that will guide the flow of the conversation. You’ll never have to speak in public if you don’t want to.

We like to keep our events cozy so we usually invite around 25 people. If you are invited you'll receive an invite a confirmation via our ticketing platform Luma :)

🧧 HOW MUCH IS IT?

The cost to attend is 15€ and includes the following:

🎈3 hours of facilitated and curated activities
🥪 Light snacks to keep the energy going (when outdoors)
🙌🏽 Access to the Llamas in Malta WhatsApp group
👥 A space to meet new people in the least boring way possible
💛 Supporting our mission to slowly eliminate small talk around the world
(🎫 also includes those pesky ticket fees!)

🌳 WHERE IS IT?

We host our events in awesome bars & parks across the city. We only reveal the location to ticket holders 24 hours before the event. This edition will take place in the central hub around Sliema, St. Julians, or Valletta.

👋 Meet Marc (your host!)

Say hello to Marc, a German living in Malta who fell in love with "F*ck the Small Talk" after traveling through Latin America and having the same conversations over and over... you get the point.

Marc loves exploring cultures, having long chats about literally anything (except horses 😂), personal growth, connecting with people, and spending time in nature. He's already ticked off some big dreams: studying psychology, living in Japan, learning Spanish, and becoming a coach. His FTST experience in Medellín was so cool that he couldn’t wait to bring that same awesome vibe to Malta. Let's have some fun!

• Can I come alone?

  Of course, in fact, we encourage it! The vast majority of people come solo :)

• Can I be late?

  Please don't as it will disrupt the flow! 🌊 We start exactly 15min after the official starting time :)

• I signed up but never got an invite. Why?

  We usually get a high volume of sign-ups yet we like to keep it cozy & only invite around 20 people. We believe this is a good number to ensure an awesome experience! Please try again next time if do not receive an invite - no hard feelings 💛

• Why do you charge?

  We value our time and put a lot of love, planning, and effort into creating & designing these experiences. ❤️ This is our project/business and what we give to the world and we think everything should be a fair exchange 🙏

  However, money should never be the reason for people not to attend. If you can’t afford it simply get in touch with us :)

• Can I bring my pet dog/llama?

  Sure thing but it depends on where the event is! Just message us to make sure. 🐶💕

Our story started in Berlin back in 2019 out of the frustration of going to unfulfilling (and incredibly boring) meetups in the city! Now, there are chapters in Vancouver, Lisbon, London, and Mexico City. More coming soon. 😎 🌎
